ABOUT OUR LOGO
The earliest sign of
Christian fellowship was the emblem of the fish outline.
The
fish was a symbol of the early church to signify they were
followers of Jesus Christ.
In our logo we have incorporated two
ideas about our vision as a church family of families
who are
united as disciples of Jesus Christ. These ideas
are: One, Jesus expects us to
win new converts
into the Faith of Christianity (“Come follow me,” Jesus said,
“and I will
make you fishers of men” Matthew 4:19);
Two,
winning new people to the Faith is like
harvesting a crop like
wheat and the time for the church to do that is now (Jesus said
“… open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for
harvest.” John 4:35).
The logo is two strands of ripe for
harvesting wheat shaped into the fish emblem; it is the
symbol
of our Christian family united together and reaching out to
those who need a
spiritual family to care about them and show
them the love of God in the good news of
Jesus Christ
about hope for this life and all eternity.
